Thanks for calling Tidewell Injury Law, this is the firm's virtual assistant. This call is recorded so an attorney can review it. Is anyone in danger or in need of emergency care right now?
No, I'm home. I got rear-ended on the Garden State Parkway this afternoon.
I'm sorry that happened. Did you get medical care, and was a police report made?
Urgent care tonight. Neck and back. Police came.
Thank you. I'll get this to the attorney on call. Is 732-555-0142 the best number for a callback?
Then this summary is emailed to you:● Hot lead · Callback requested

What you get after every call

After every call, you or your on-call attorney get an email summary like this one, with the recording and transcript one tap away. Summaries come by email today. Text summaries start once the phone carriers approve my number.

Missed calls are missed cases

Injured people call the next firm on the list. If you pay for advertising, an after-hours call that reaches voicemail is ad spend with nobody on the other end. Clio's secret-shopper study tested how law firms handle new inquiries:

40%

of law firms answered the phone when a potential client called.

67%

didn't respond to a potential client's email inquiry.

How IntakeHound handles your calls

Forward after-hours or overflow calls to IntakeHound, or route every call. You choose.

1

Answers right away

A natural-sounding voice greets callers as your firm's virtual assistant and gives the recording notice up front. It never pretends to be a person. If asked, it says plainly it's an AI and offers a callback from a person.

2

Collects the details

Incident type, date and state, injuries and treatment, police report, insurance, and prior counsel. It collects the details your attorneys ask for, in your order.

3

Routes urgent cases

Hot cases get a live transfer to your on-call attorney during the hours you set, tested with you before you go live. If no one picks up, the caller gets a priority callback, and the details are in your email summary.

4

Hands off cleanly

Your team gets a summary by email, plus the recording and transcript.

Built for PI intake, not general reception

  • PI-specific questions: MVA, truck, motorcycle, premises, dog bite, workplace, and wrongful death.
  • Captures the incident date so your attorneys can check deadlines.
  • Screens out non-PI calls (criminal, family, billing) and routes them your way.
  • Emergency-aware: tells anyone in danger to hang up and call 911.
  • Your rules: case types you take, states you cover, and when to transfer live.

Careful by design

  • Recording notice on every call, plus an explicit consent question you can switch on for all-party-consent states (your counsel confirms the wording).
  • No legal advice. Legal questions go to your attorneys.
  • Conflict-check basics: it captures the opposing party's name for your review.
  • No cold outreach. IntakeHound never makes cold calls or robocalls.
  • See "How call data is handled" below.

What are unanswered calls costing your firm?

Plug in your own numbers. The starting values are example assumptions, not statistics.

This estimates revenue at risk from calls nobody answers. It is not a prediction of what IntakeHound will earn you, and I don't guarantee any number of cases. Fee per case varies widely by case type and market.

Estimated revenue at risk each month (with the example values) $6,495 ≈ 6.5 real leads a month reaching no one, ≈ 1.3 you'd likely win

Formula: calls per week × 4.33 weeks × % real cases × % you'd sign × average fee. Example: 5 calls × 4.33 × 30% × 20% × $5,000 = $6,495 a month.

The 30-Day Pilot

After-hours injury callers answered, with the details your attorneys need

For injury firms that already pay for advertising and lose leads after hours. Start with nights, weekends, and overflow. Your daytime team doesn't change.

Founding price, locked while you stay

Night Shift

$997/month

Cancel anytime, no contract.

+ $497 one-time setup. A flat monthly fee, never per case.
Planned price after the founding period: $1,497/mo + $1,500 setup.

  • Nights, weekends, holidays, and daytime overflow
  • Everything in "What's included" below
  • Unlimited minutes

Two guarantees on the things I control

  1. 30-day money-back. If you don't want to keep IntakeHound for any reason, tell me within 30 days of go-live and I'll refund everything you've paid, including any setup fee. No questions asked.
  2. Live in 7 business days, or month one is free. The clock starts after your kickoff call and once you've given me your intake questions.

Why I don't guarantee signed cases: Bar rules in most states don't let lawyers pay vendors per case or share fees with non-lawyers (ABA Model Rules 5.4 and 7.2). So you pay a flat monthly fee, and I guarantee the parts I control: how fast you go live, and your money back if it isn't right for you.

  • Script changes within one business day
  • Weekly flagged-call review, plus an optional 30-minute monthly call with me

There are AI receptionists for $49 a month. Why would I pay more?

You might not need to. If you get a handful of calls after hours and you're happy to set it up and tune it yourself, a self-serve tool is a fine choice. IntakeHound is for firms that want it built for injury intake and tested before go-live. I review every flagged call each week and fix the script. If it isn't worth it to you in the first 30 days, you get everything back, including setup.

What's included in both plans

  • The calls you forward, answered. Day and night, in English and Spanish, with a summary by email after every call, plus the recording and transcript.
  • Urgent cases routed. A live transfer to your on-call attorney during the hours you set, tested with you before you go live. If no one picks up, the caller gets a priority callback, and the details are in your email summary.
  • I review every flagged call each week and fix the script. You also get an automatic weekly report by email: who called, what happened, and who needs a callback.
  • Done-for-you go-live. A script built from your current intake form, a forwarding walkthrough, and 10 test calls with you.
  • Script kit formatted for your ethics counsel to review. Virtual-assistant greeting, an honest "I'm an AI" answer whenever a caller asks, state recording notices, and no-legal-advice guardrails.

On the roadmap

  • Lead follow-up until it's a yes or a no, including people who miss their consult. Only people who contacted your firm and agreed to be contacted: email first, text only with consent.
  • Calendar booking during the call
  • Summaries by text
  • A short alert text with a link, instead of full caller details
  • Direct CRM connections

Founding terms: your founding price stays locked for as long as you stay. Setup is one-time. Fees are flat, never per case. At most 5 new firms a month, because I set up each one myself.

How setup works

No new phone number and no software for your team to learn. I do the building; you make a few test calls.

  1. Day 0Kickoff call

A 30-minute call: your intake questions, the case types and states you take, your hours, and who gets the summaries.

  2. Days 1–3I build it; you make test calls

I set up the assistant in your firm's name. You call it and play an injured caller. I tune it until you're happy.

  3. Days 3–6Forward your line

Set call forwarding for after hours, no answer, or busy. It takes about 5 minutes with your phone provider, and I walk you through it.

  4. By business day 7Live

Real calls get answered and summaries arrive by email.

How call data is handled

  • Yours, not mine: call data belongs to your firm. I don't sell it or use it to market to callers.
  • Used only to run the service: answering your calls, sending your summaries, reviewing flagged calls to fix your script, and preparing your weekly report.
  • Deleted on request: email michael@intakehound.com and I'll delete your call data.

FAQ

Does it give legal advice?

No. IntakeHound gathers facts for your attorneys. It tells callers that only an attorney can advise them, and it never estimates case value or promises outcomes.

Will callers know it's an AI?

It greets callers as "the firm's virtual assistant" and never pretends to be a person. If a caller asks whether they're talking to a real person, a bot, or an AI, it answers honestly that it's an automated assistant (an AI) and offers a callback from a person. Callers can ask for a person at any time, and it will transfer the call during your on-call hours or take a priority callback.

Does my firm need a new phone number?

No. Most firms set call forwarding for after hours, no answer, or overflow.

What about call recording laws?

Every call starts with a recording notice. I'll also review your state's rules with you during setup. Your firm stays responsible for its own professional-responsibility obligations.

Which CRMs does it connect to?

None directly yet; CRM connections are on the roadmap. Every call summary goes out by email. Tell me your intake tool and I'll let you know honestly what's possible.

What's in the free missed-call audit?

I call your main line after hours on up to three different evenings and note whether a person, an answering service, or voicemail picked up, and how long it rang. Then I email you a one-page summary with what IntakeHound would have done. If anyone answers, I say I'm Michael from IntakeHound, and I never pose as an injured caller.
